Summary. The article was describes the main types of market research and gives examples the planning studies the essence and use of desk and field research, qualitative and quantitative research methods. Studied the basic methods of data collection, surveys, registration (observation) experiment, panel, expert evaluation. The theoretical basis used on a practical example of the company in order to find areas of improvement of the marketing mix.
