Summary: This article considers the problem of natural light and insolation conditions degradation in conditions of residential areas renovation. This article provides an analysis of this degradation and considerers possible methods to increase these parameters

Summary: This work represents complex evaluation of so-called area “Dnieper Rapids”. The method, proposed for evaluation, is attractive for the foreign investments. Its essence is in the identification of natural and anthropogenic factors of environmental hazards and determining the scope and intensity of their manifestation in a particular area by means of integrated quality indicators.
